About me….well, what would you like to know?!
Firstly, I love the piano. I learned it as a child (did the classical route thing with the odd ABRSM exam along the way). However, what I really love is playing light music, jazz, easy listening, Elton John, Burt Bacharach, show tunes and other less serious stuff. On the classical side, I can cover many of the well-known composers and pieces and would say my favourite composer to play is Chopin. To listen to…that’s a tricky one but I’d have to say Rachmaninoff. Gershwin is pretty decent too – clever guy with rhythms.
What I do have is a solid understanding of the basics and theory of music, what makes a good performance an even better one and how to inject some ‘musicality’ into a piece (sorry to go all Simon Cowell).
I firmly believe that if you play music you love, it makes you feel great.
My piano ‘journey’ (sorry, couldn’t resist) sees me teaching pupils from the absolute beginning up to grade 5. One day I’ll go beyond that but I’m enjoying the challenges this level brings and I’ve met some great people too, children and adults. I don’t have any male pupils yet but i’m working on it!
And…as far as playing at events goes, I’ll do my very best to deliver a repertoire which is right up your street. I’ll be adding some testimonials to my website soon so you can tell I’m the real deal but please ask me what I can do for you and I’ll be delighted to help.
Price-wise, that very much depends on what, where, when etc but please just get in touch to chat through your requirements and I’d be delighted to give you a quote – please email me: firstname.lastname@example.org
Ok, enough about me – I want to know about you – how can I help you?!
